At New York Fashion Week, Coach unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025/2026 collection. Among the silhouettes, this accessory caught everyone’s attention.
Like every winter, New York hosts its traditional Fashion Week. In this month of February 2025, it unveils the fall-winter 202/2026 collections. This Monday, February 10, in the middle of the afternoon, the Coach show was held at the Park Avenue Armory, under the direction of Stuart Vevers. Through 45 silhouettes, the British designer revisited the classics of the American wardrobe, in a modern and daring collection. We find perfectly balanced outfits, composed of loose pants, fitted blazers, leather jackets … The colors are faithful to the aesthetic of the house and oscillate between brown shades, leopard print, navy blue and black. On their arms, iconic designer bags, such as the “Empire 34” or others revisited and inspired by the house’s archives, such as the “Twin Pocket Bag” with two pockets on the front. What do they have in common? It’s this elongated shape, also called “east west bags” . Very popular in fall 2024, they attracted all the flashes of phones during the fashion show yesterday afternoon. Already available for sale in a few days, they could quickly become out of stock. Zoom in on this handbag trend that intends to persist for a few more seasons.

Exit shopping bags, in 2025, our bags continue to get longer
If we swore by XXL bags and tote bags last fall, we are now betting on other models. Smaller, but still practical, rectangular bags or “east west bags” are inspired by a hybrid mix between the baguette bag and the “bowling” bag. Already seen in the 2000s, we recognize it thanks to its long and rounded shape, as well as its thin handles. Largely redesigned since then, the big brands delivered their more modern interpretation of this bag in the spring-summer 2025 collections: patent leather at Prada or in leather at Miu Miu. Then, unveiled at Coach for fall-winter 2025/2026, these retro models with a dachshund look accompanied each silhouette, worn on the shoulder or under the elbow, decorated with charms, trinkets… Proof that the rectangular bag will continue to make its mark in our wardrobe, summer and winter. Alongside it, other models are starting to establish themselves among the most trendy of spring . Spotted on the catwalks, we find the curved bag, a key piece of the latest Stella McCartney show, also called the “bean” bag, which has the particularity of being hollowed out on the top or bottom. But also, details like fringes , seen at Fendi or Isabel Marant and studs, which are invited to Jil Sander, very popular on social networks.
