Spotted on the catwalks, this psychedelic pattern will be the big trend of 2025

The ultimate symbol of the seventies, the Paisley print is back to shake up our look. Whether it’s on our clothes or our accessories, it promises to be a must-have.

As Paris Fashion Week is in full swing, the first trends for 2025 are starting to take shape. In terms of prints, the bohemian influence is infiltrating our wardrobes and bringing back to the forefront an emblematic pattern from the 1970s: the paisley print, later renamed paisley, in homage to the Scottish city where it was produced in the 1960s. Its folk and psychedelic aesthetic made it a symbol of the hippie movement before conquering the hip-hop scene of the 1990s, declined on scarves tied around the head by rappers. Already in vogue last summer , the paisley print is once again establishing itself as a must-have in 2025.

How to adopt the paisley pattern in 2025?

Hypnotic, offbeat and colorful, the paisley pattern is at the heart of Etro ‘s fall-winter 2025-2026 collection . Presented during Milan Fashion Week, the Italian label has made it its emblem, deploying it on almost all of the 64 silhouettes: airy dresses, straight suits, structured coats, jeans and scarves, the entire wardrobe lends itself to it. At Saint Laurent , the same story for spring-summer 2025, paisley is integrated into a boho-chic wardrobe: sober tunics with flowing pants and flashy jewelry, vaporous dresses and ruffled skirts worn with leather jackets. Even the men’s collections are taking it up, notably at Kenzo , where it covers denim ensembles.

Less expected than stripes, polka dots or animal prints , paisley stands out for its festive and sophisticated look. According to the catwalks, the best way to adopt it is to dare the total look, like a shirt-pants set or a flowing skirt with platform sandals. It comes in sober shades for those who prefer discretion or in bright colors for the more daring. The other option is to choose a strong piece, like a printed jacket to pair with Bermuda shorts and high boots, or paisley jeans paired with a white t-shirt and comfortable sneakers.
