There is renewal in the air, a gentle revolution that is shaking up the world of fashion… The cascading movements of artistic directors – Sabato De Sarno leaves Gucci, Glenn Martens arrives at Maison Margiela, Kim Jones leaves Fendi… – bear witness to the phenomenon. This unprecedented turnover speaks of a desire to rethink the women’s wardrobe , a desire to rediscover excitement, an essential specificity of a fashion that could have seemed dormant these last two seasons. In love with realism, the style industry had somewhat given in to standardization. This aesthetic has run out of steam.
