New Gucci CEO

Stefano Cantino takes over from Jean-François Palus.

Stefano Cantino will take over as the new CEO in January 2025.

Cantino joined Gucci in May 2024 as executive vice president, after five years at Louis Vuitton, according to Reuters.
He previously had twenty years of experience at Prada, where he held roles in communications and marketing.

Cantino takes over from Jean-François Palus, who was appointed as Gucci CEO in July 2023. The plan was for him to help revamp internal processes while Sabato De Sarno joined as designer for the luxury fashion house.

The new strategy was supposed to help preserve Gucci’s legacy and promote the fashion house’s core areas after revenue fell by as much as 20 percent in the first half of 2024, but they have so far failed to reverse the trend, according to Business of Fashion .
