Jean Paul Gaultier receives criticism for expensive sweater with chest motif

The designer’s new sweater, priced at over 15,000 kroner, is causing strong reactions.

French fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier has launched a new sweater that is causing people to react strongly on social media.

The cream-colored sweater, which has been named the “Cropped Madone Sweater“, costs over 15,000 kroner and has a motif that resembles two breasts on the front.

The cream-colored sweater, which has been named the “Cropped Madone Sweater”, costs over 15,000 kroner and has a motif that resembles two breasts on the front.

According to the Daily Mail , the sweater is a tribute to Jean Paul Gaultier’s iconic cone-shaped bra, which Madonna wore on stage in the 90s. “Madone” is the French word for Madonna.

On Facebook, several people have expressed their dissatisfaction with the design.

“15,000 kroner to look like a real fool,” writes one person.

“This is for people who have more money than sense,” comments another.

The sweater is described by the fashion house as “a bold, cropped statement for a timeless look.” It is available in seven sizes from XXS to XXL.

This isn’t the first time Jean Paul Gaultier has been criticized for his bold designs. Last year, the brand received negative attention for selling garments that made it look like you weren’t wearing any clothes at all. And the price tag for dressing naked? Over 9,000 kroner.

What do you think?
