“Muffin man” in place during Milan Fashion Week after TikTok success.
Maybe you didn’t have this on your bingo card for 2024? Well, neither did we. But it’s all the more fun that Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen was present at the Boss show during Fashion Week in Milan.
Since the Summer Olympics in Paris earlier this year, Christiansen’s TikTok career has skyrocketed. He made the chocolate muffins served at athlete hotels a global sensation, earning him the nickname “Muffin Man .” Today, the 27-year-old has over 500,000 followers on the popular app, and his videos have received nearly 27 million likes.

Christiansen can tell MinMote that he never thought he would be able to participate in this.
– This is something you never plan to happen. But I think fashion has always been very exciting, and it’s something I’ve had an interest in.
When he was contacted by Hugo Boss, it wasn’t difficult to say yes. But he admits that it came as a surprise.
– In the last two months after Paris, a lot of different things have come up. And it’s been so much bigger than I thought it would be, but it’s very exciting and very fun.
The swimmer is happy that he gets opportunities like this.
– I’ve been backstage and been part of the team. I’ve not only seen it from the outside, but I’ve also seen it from the inside. And what goes on behind the curtains during a show like that. It’s quite hectic and quite chaotic, but it’s incredibly, incredibly fun, he says.
– Are there big contrasts to your normal everyday life as a swimmer?
– Yes, it is, of course. It’s so much more glamorous. My usual routine is two to three training sessions a day, and only food, eating and sleeping.
Christiansen points out that a fashion show is an incredibly large production.
– There are billionaires and influencers with hundreds of millions of followers here. David Beckham and Anna Wintour are there, and I’m sitting there too. It’s a bit like that.imposter syndrome.
