Espresso Martini: what is this new color spotted at Fashion Week?

On the catwalks, shades of brown have continued to gain popularity in recent seasons. Spotted on the catwalks of the fall-winter 2025-2026 collections, this new shade could well dethrone them all. 

Brown is definitely the hottest color of the moment. After “Mocha Mousse”  voted color of the year 2025 by Pantone, then chocolate brown which replaced black in our winter looks, a new shade is making its debut. Called “Espresso Martini” like the iconic cocktail, it stands out for its cold and very dark brown, as addictive as a cup of coffee. Spotted in the fall-winter 2025-2026 collections of Fendi, Prada and Ferragamo, Espresso Martini is likely to take the lead by inviting itself into our summer wardrobe.

How to adopt the Espresso Martini? 

There is no better source of inspiration than the catwalks. Seen in the fall-winter 2025-2026 collections, this shade that oscillates between chocolate and black has the advantage of being as elegant as the latter and as versatile as brown. Worn in a total monochrome look, it gives a look that is as chic as it is casual. Otherwise, we choose the “effortless” style and take inspiration from the Sportmax show with this silhouette composed of bohemian and oversized pieces: an asymmetrical flowing dress, a pair of pleated boots and an XXL fringed bag. For others, brown is a way to have fun. It tempers vibrant prints at Moschino or is adorned with sequins at Luisa Beccaria for a night out.
