Saturday Night Live celebrated its half-century in style, and while the cult show has left its mark on generations with its irreverent humor, its anniversary was also a masterclass in style.
From the first arrivals, the tone was set: glamour, extravagance and a touch of nostalgia. Kristen Wiig – an iconic figure on the show “Saturday Night Live” – lit up the evening in a transparent Simone Rocha lingerie dress, while Emma Stone played the irony card with her red Louis Vuitton dress filled with popcorn in her pockets. Further on, it was Kim Kardashian, loyal to the Balenciaga label, who draped herself in a disco ball dress that lit up the red carpet. Scarlett Johansson, chic and understated as usual, opted for Prada with this black mid-calf dress encrusted with delicate sparkles. The same went for Miley Cyrus, sculptural in her dress. As for Sabrina Carpenter, Meryl Streep, Blake Lively and Sarah Jessica Parker all wanted to adorn themselves with glittery and sequin-filled silhouettes… It was definitely party time.
The suit was everywhere during the 50th anniversary of the number 1 talk show in the United States. And not just on men. The singer Halsey, for example, dressed in a retro suit with a colorful tie. An excellent look and more trendy than ever. On Bad Bunny’s side, it was a rather modern gray suit, accompanied by a cap and tinted glasses, de rigueur.
But the real star of the red carpet? Lady Gaga, of course. In a total surprise, the singer walked the carpet in a vaporous and asymmetrical Atlein creation, catching all eyes before the evening even began. With her “Hime” haircut, the artist arrived like a goddess of shadows on the arm of her -always smiling- fiancé Michael Polansky. Lady Gaga performed a song on the piano, where she is at her most grandiose.
