The beige loafers that Diana, Princess of Wales, made her best allies during her trip to Angola in January 1997 are back in fashion in 2025. Versatile, flattering and really comfortable.
Red tights, suede jackets , bow-tied blouses, denim overalls… Many of the trends that are making a strong impact on the streets in 2025 were already in Lady Di ‘s wardrobe , confirming once again that the woman dubbed “the people’s princess” was ahead of her time and that her influence on fashion has never been diminished. The latest example comes with loafers , a type of footwear that is once again making a big impact in these transitional months and which the British royal made her own in the late 1990s.
On one of her last trips to Angola before the tragic car accident that ended her life in August 1997, in connection with her fight against anti-personnel mines, the British royal firmly opted for this type of flat shoe to complete her more casual outfits, in a classic version and in beige. A versatile and timeless model that we can now find at H&M for less than 30 euros.

Lady Di chose this simple and functional type of moccasin as the finishing touch to outfits that maintained the same structure: trousers in neutral tones and a shirt. A uniform that became one of her great hallmarks in that tragic 1997 and that, to this day, continues to inspire many women.
