Ready to wear Fall-Winter 2025-2026

At Balmain, Olivier Rousteing introduces sophisticated and functional fashion

Who did we see?

To close this third day of Fashion Week, Olivier Rousteing invited a handful of hand-picked guests to the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Among them, many celebrities took over the front row of his fall-winter 2025-2026 show. Rapper Doja Cat and Kim Catrall, star actress of “Sex and The City”, posed for photographers, both in leopard-print dresses. Further on, Camille Razat greeted the crowd in logoed jeans, an oversized coat and a newsboy cap while Mélanie Laurent arrived at the show venue in velvet pants and a bustier with touches of gold. Not to mention models Taylor Hill and Barbara Palin, but also Ebody, semi-finalist of the Star Academy.

What did we see?

For his fall-winter 2025-2026 show, Olivier Rousteing offers a true introspection of his fourteen years at Balmain. “The beginnings at a young age were not easy, but the strength of this collection proves that time, perseverance and hard work are the pillars of a successful career,” he writes in his note of intent. Far from silhouettes with extreme glamour, the designer delivers here powerful, elegant silhouettes with a surprising relaxation. We note the passage of large hoods, clothes with fluid drapes, XXL knits, multi-pocket parkas. The designer’s signature audacity lies in sought-after cuts and volumes: imposing slouchy boots, exaggerated shoulders and oversized belts. Dresses made of small assembled resin tiles paid homage to the craftsmanship dear to the designer.

The detail we love

Very high slouchy boots, in pleated leather and in vibrant colors, which are right in line with the current “loud luxury” trend.
