Better than Botox, this Moroccan oil is a powerful natural anti-aging agent

Moroccan oil

Looking for a natural anti-aging product to add to your beauty routine? An oil straight from Morocco could well find a place of choice in your cupboards.

It is nicknamed the ” natural Moroccan botox “. Produced for many years by our neighbors in North Africa, this organic oil is a real gold mine. And for good reason, this beauty elixir has many virtues for mature skin and its needs. It promises to restore firmness and elasticity to the epidermis. Rich in antioxidant vitamin E, it helps fight against free radical damage to the skin, thus limiting premature aging.

But that’s not all: thanks to its content of essential fatty acids (omega-6 and omega-9), it acts on wrinkles and fine lines, and prevents loss of elasticity, in addition to deeply hydrating and strengthening the skin barrier. It is also said to be the most powerful natural anti-aging in the world. Applied to bags and dark circles, the oil helps to fade them over time. Not bad, right?

The other special feature of prickly pear seed oil? It is very fine and penetrates the epidermis quickly. Just a few drops are very effective. While it is mainly known for its anti-aging properties, it has many others. Prone to stretch marks? Its healing power fades their appearance more quickly, as well as that of brown spots and acne-related marks.

This phenomenon is mainly due to its omega 6 content, which promotes the skin’s repair process. For sensitive skin, prickly pear seed oil is excellent for calming inflammation and redness. Used on hair, it nourishes it intensely and makes it shiny.

But what makes prickly pear seed oil so rich is also its rarity. It is extracted from the seeds of the prickly pear, a fruit from the Opuntia ficus-indica cactus that is mainly found in arid regions. It is a precious product since it takes nearly a ton of figs to obtain 35kg of seeds, from which only one liter of oil can be extracted after an initial cold pressing.

This long and delicate process makes the final product quite expensive. Expect to pay between €30 and €50 for 30ml depending on the supplier. Be careful not to confuse it with prickly pear oil, which does not have quite the same properties.
