It’s been six years since Daniel Völz was able to hand over the last rose to his chosen one as the “Bachelor”. It didn’t turn into a love for life. Now the TV star reveals that he is happily engaged again.
In 2018 he was “The Bachelor “, for whose attention 24 women vied: Daniel Völz, 39. The last rose went to Kristina Yantsen, 31. But just a few months after the end of the show, the supposed great love was over. Instead, a public war of roses followed. But now there is good news from the former real estate agent from Florida: He is in a committed relationship again. And his chosen one could even save his life.
Daniel Völz reveals: “There is someone
At a charity event in Berlin, the former Rosenkavalier revealed the news about his current relationship status in an interview with RTL: “There is someone…” he admits. And he goes on to reveal: “She is also a prospective doctor.” This fact alone could become very important for Daniel one day: 18 years ago he was diagnosed with “type 1 diabetes”. This form of diabetes mellitus is incurable. Type 1 diabetics have to inject insulin every day because their pancreas cannot produce the vital hormone or cannot produce it in sufficient quantities. Secondary damage can occur, and severe hypoglycemia can even lead to life-threatening situations.
And so the interview with RTL is taking place as part of a diabetes charity gala. “I would be lying if I said it was an easy thing. It is not easy, especially psychologically. Anyone who knows someone who has diabetes knows that it can destroy you mentally,” says Daniel Völz, explaining the stress of the disease. It’s good that he now has a specialist at his side.
Völz and his new girlfriend: Love at second attempt
Daniel and his new girlfriend have known each other for a while. Officially they have only been together since the beginning of the summer, but he adds that they are “back” together: “We simply realized that this is the right thing and we want to go down this path together,” Daniel Völz explains to RTL.,
And that’s why we haven’t seen her at his side yet – apart from a hidden snapshot from a stay in Florida in July? The reasons are practical: she was actually supposed to accompany him to the charity gala, but is currently still working on her doctoral thesis. “I don’t want to get in the way,” explains the ex-“Bachelor” understandingly. So hopefully it won’t be long before they appear together.
